Again this is where I point out that Donald Fehr and bettman who combined have 7 work stoppages and 2 cancelled championships between them now have the only sport with solid labor peace.

There is always going to be issues at some point, but I don't think either of those guys get enough credit. Bettman gets booed all the time and if you look at his overall record of revenue and growing the sport he has done an incredible job from when he 1st started.

That was a hostage letter, no way he had anything to do with that. He won't do an interview, but somehow wrote all that.

I've always taken the belief that Bettman has been the best commissioner in league history. He has had several missteps, but betting the US market over the Canadian one (sans Montreal Toronto etc that will always print money) was in fact one of his best decisions ever. People mock teams like the Yotes and Panthers, but the Sharks and Bolts have pretty much always been in the top handful in attendance and I'm not sure guys like Austin Matthews ever put a stick in their hand without the southern expansion.

Although it was on national TV at the time too, the fact the Rangers cup win was on local TV is still mind boggling for me. Bettman fixing TV rights was a monumental accomplishment.

rumour has it because girls use to like him better than Paul and John,so they booted him, but I think mostly because he wasnt a very good drummer, could only do a straight 4/4 rock song

they still had no idea how big they were going to get when they changed the drummer, to them at the time it was no big deal, guys were in and out of bands all the time

Ah.

Yeah it happens with early bands, but the timing, oh man.

Not sure if you were a Crue fan but the movie on netflix The Dirt was actually really good

I still say the time I saw Motley Crue on the Dr Feelgood Tour, 1990, Outdoor show in Bristol, CT was the best concert I ever saw.

I was never that big of a Crue fan, I liked them, didnt love them I used to go see most hair bands live from like 1988-91 in clubs and places back in those days, but they blew me away that night
